Dubai World Cup Carnival Meeting continues today

The big Meydan meeting continues today and tomorrow, and today´s main feature is the Group Two Al Fahiti Fort over a mile on turf. This race was won last year by Ali Rashid al Raihe´s Derbaas (Tagdh O´Shea), but his owner Sheikh Hamdan now has 4 runners with stable jockey Richard Hills on Doug Watson´s Absaasil. Is any case we expect the finish to be dominated by horses trained by Mike de Kock, who has a good record in this event, or the Godolphin team of 3 runners. De Kock saddles Master of Hounds (Christophe Soumillon) and Viscount Nelson (Kevin Shea), both ex-O´Brien, but our selection is Rio de la Plata (Saeed bin Suroor/ Frankie Dettori), a top-class miler who has run in some top races; his close second to Exceleberation in the Prix du Moulin last year is the best form in the race.
The other 5 races are all handicaps, and we expect Frankie Dettori to ride several winners in the all-blue first colours of Godolphin.
