Newbury Saturday card rescheduled for Friday

Last Saturday´s card at Newbury, which was abandoned after the first race following the death of two horses in the paddock (believed to have been electrocuted by a live cable) will now be run this Friday. Although the cause of the tragedy is still not 100% certain, it seems that the problem has been cleared up. The races to be run on Friday include the important Aon Chase and Game Spirit Chase as well as the Totesport Gold Trophy, one of the biggest betting races of the year. The prize-money will be much lower and it is not clear how many of the original entries will run on Friday.
