Huntingdon, Mussleburgh and Limerick

3 N.H. meetings today, Huntingdon in England, Musselburgh in Scotland and Limerick in Ireland. At Huntingdon, andy Turnell can win both divisions of the novice hurdle at 14.15 CET and half an hour later, with Spanish Treasure and Marching Song respectively, both partnered by Nick Scholfield. The former,a German-bred son of Black Sam Bellamy, was an easy winner at Hereford last time, while the latter was third to the useful Credit Swap.

We don´t really fancy Nicky Henderson´s runners in these two races, despite the fantastic stable form, but he can take the novice chase at 16.15 with the penalised Master of the Hall (Barry Geraghty), who appears to have only Voramar(Philip Hobbs/ Richard Johnson), runner-up in his last 3 races, to beat. The handicap hurdle over 3 1/4 miles at 15.45 is the best betting race today. Stow (Venetia Williams/ Aidan Coleman) is the likely favourite here after finishing second in a similar race at Chepstow last time, but we hope to see German-bred Sullumo (Charlie Mann/ Peter Toole), well behind him there, finish in front of him this time on much more suitable going.

Another German-bred we fancy today is Waldvogel (Nicky Richards/ Dougie Costello) in the second division of the novice hurdle at 15,35 at Musselburgh. He has however been off since May, so Aikman (James Ewart/ Harry Haynes), who fell in a similar race over this CD last time, is a possible alternative. Kaolak (Keith and James Reveley) was a very unlucky runner-up in the same race and he can win the first division at 14.05.

In Ireland, Willie Mullins could once again be the trainer to follow. He can take the first two races at Limerick with Aughaloor at 14.10 and Dare to Doubt half an hour later, both with Paul Townend in the saddle, while Black Empress, partnered by his son Paddy, may be good enough to win the mares flat race at 17.10 on her debut. A German-bred we like here is Stabilo (MJ McDonagh/ DG Hogan), who was runner-up this CD last time and should again be placed at least in the 2 3/4 miles handicap hurdle at 15.40.
