All-weather racing at Southwell and Wolverhampton

Very poor racing today on the all-weather at Southwell this afternoon and Wolverhampton this evening. If there is one horse with pretensions to better class, it can only be Benato the Great (David Nicholls/ Matt O´Connell) who runs in the 6 furlongs handicap at 14.20 CET at Southwell. He has won both his starts so far, including this CD last time, and is still on a very attractive rating.

Another last time CD winner who can follow up here is Bentley (Brian Baugh/ Graham Gibbons), who can defy a 6 lbs penalty in the mile handicap at 15.50. At Wolverhampton, the main feature is the 2 mile handicap at 19.10. Jezza (Vic Dartnall/ Steven Donohoe) has won his last 3 races, including twice here over 1 3/4 miles, and although he has gone up a lot in the weights can complete a fourtimer here. His jockey can also take the 1 1/2 miles handicap half an hour earlier on Sir Mark Prescott´s Albertus Pictor, who is out of Kirsten Rausing´s multiple German Group One winner Albanova.
