All-weather racing today

Plenty of all-weather action today, with Lingfield this afternoon, Wolverhampton this evening and Dundalk in Ireland, also in the evening. At the Irish meeting one should follow the fortunes of Joseph O´Brien, who has rides in all 8 races and is still hoping to be crowned champion apprentice in Ireland. His best chances are probably Diogenes and Imperator Augustus in the 2yo maidens at 18.55 and 21.00 respectively, both trained by his father Aidan.

At Lingfield, the 7 furlongs handicap at 16.05 looks wide open. Lutine Bell( Mike Murphy/ George Baker) and Lowther (Alan Bailey/ Robert Winston) were both easy CD winners last time, but we prefer the latter´s stable companion Autumn Blades (David Probert), just touched off here last Saturday. John Oxx rarely has runners here, but now saddles Flash McGahon( Jamie Spencer) in the 6 furlongs handicap at 15.35, but the form choice here is top-weight Anne of Kiev (Jeremy Gask/ Luke Morris).

Most interesting runner at Wolverhampton is Axiom (Ed Walker/ Jack Mitchell) who has top-weight in the handicap at 19.35; he is the first runner of his new trainer, who used to work for Luca Cumani. Two runners here who have often come close without winning can get off the mark this evening - Its You Again (Mick Quinlan/ Tom Queally) in the 2yo maiden at 18.00 and Fashionable Gal (Sir Mark Prescott/ Steve Donohoe) half an hour later.
