this evening´s racing with Group Three at Leopardstown

there are 5 meetings this evening with easily the best race the mile Group Three at 20.30 CET at Leopardstown. Only 5 runners, all Irish-trained, but quite an open evnt. Beethoven (Aidan and Joseph O´Brien), last year´s Dewhurst Stakes winner, drops in grade here; on his last two starts he has been well behind Canford Cliffs, but there is nothing of that calibre on today´s field. However the lightly-weighted fillies Ekdarena (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) and Emulous (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smullen) will be hard nuts to crack, while the two older horses Dandy Boy and King Jock are also no pushovers. Aidan O´Brien also means business in the 2yo maiden at 19.00, where he saddles 3 of the 9 runners. Eagle Canyon is rumoured to be one of his best juveniles and will be partnered by stable jockey Johnny Murtagh and can win at the first time of asking.
There is also N.H. racing in Ireland at Tramore, where we fancy Wikaala (Gordon Elliott/ Paul Carberry), back over hurdles, to win at 18.40, while Pacific Ocean (JJ Mangan/ Andrew McNamara) can defy top weight in the handicap chase over 2 3/4 miles at 20.50.
In the U.K., Croeso Cusan (Jon Spearing/ Sophie Doyle) can take the fillies handicap at Chepstow at 19.20; all her 3 career wins, including last time out over this CD, have been with this rider on board.
