Leicester, Redcar and Windsor

Very poor racing at today´s 3 U.K. meetings and it is surprising to see Ryan Moore riding at Windsor´s modest fixture when there are Group One races in France and Ireland. The main reason for his presence is to partner Sir Michael Stoute´s Entitled in the fillies maiden at 17.30 CET. Entitled has been favourite for both her starts so far, but has finished second both times; now stepped up to 10 furlongs this well-bred filly is far from being one of Stoute´s stars, but a win would boost her paddock value and she should manage it this time. Moore can follow up in the 6 furlongs handicap half an hour later on top-weight Panpiper, trained by his father Gary.

At Leicester, we expect Ertikaan (Michael Jarvis/ Richard Hills) to take the 6 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 16.20; he looks to be better than a handicapper. We are also interested in Docofthebay (Jeremy Glover/ Neil Callan) in the 10 furlongs handicap half an hour later. He has been expensive to follow and has in fact not won for 3 years, but he has come down a lot in the weights and it is a long time since he faced such poor opposition. His best trip seems to be a mile, but if he gets the extra two furlongs today he must hold a good chance.
