group race at Cork and final day at Galway

today marks the final day of Galway´s big summer meeting, with Dermot Weld once again the leading trainer (for the 26th time! by a huge margin. He can add to his score today with Prince Erik (Robbie Power) in the beginners chase at 15.20 CET. Main event today is a valuable handicap chase at 16.55 which looks wide open with 15 runners; Echo Bob (Harry de Bromhead/ Andrew Lynch) is a very tentative suggestion.
However the top action in Ireland today is down south at Cork, with the Group Three Give Thanks Stakes for fillies and mares over 1 1/2 miles at 17.10. She´s Our Mark (Pat Flynn/ DM Grant) looks the best of the older brigade, but we expect the 3yo´ to dominate, with John Oxx´ Aga-Khan -owned pair Zarebiya (Fran Berry) and Karasiyra (Niall McCullough) holding good chances, together with Awe Inspiring (Aidan O´Brien/ Johnny Murtagh) and Sense of Purpose (Weld/ Pat Smullen).

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Tom Sawyer - Declan`S Warrior - Katla
2. Race: Bobskier - Beart - Zvonareave
3. Race: Celerina - Flash Mcgahon - Patrickswell
4. Race: St Moritz - Famous - Gan Amhras
