And three more this evening

There is jumps racing this evening at two Welsh meetings Ffos Las and Bangor and flat racing in Ireland at Bellewstown. The ridiculous clash between Ffos Las and Bangor results in very small fields at both fixtures. Gordon Elliott is riding high at the moment and could well clean up at Ffos Las. He has 3 runners in the main event, a valuable handicap hurdle at 20.20 CET, Hoopy with his main jockey Paul Carberry, Supercede, who has won 3 out of his 4 races this summer, with the good claimer Keith Donoghue, and Valerius with Brian Hughes. He also has chances with Russian War at 18.20, Apt to Run half an hour later, and Halfstead Dream, who has top weight in another handicap hurdle at 19.50, and it will be suprising if he goes back to Ireland without a winner.

The best race at Bangor is also a handicap hurdle at 19.00, and the improving Points of View (Kim Bailey/ Sean Quinlan) looks the one to be on here; consistent Murcar (Alison Thorpe/ Oliver Dayman) and top-weight Bathwick Man (David Pipe/ Tom Scudamore) are the main threats.

The racing at Bellewstown is on the flat, but we expect jumping trainers to come up trumps. Jessica Harrington has her string in great form and can take the 2yo maiden at 18.05 with Back Burner, and also has chances in the conditions race over 1 3/4 miles at 20.45 with Greenbelt Star, both partnered by Fran Berry. The dangers here are Hazymm (Edward O´Grady/ Wayne Lordan) and Zaralabad (Charlie Swan/ O´Farrell), also from jumping stables.
