This evening at Haydock, Musselburgh, Towcester (N.H.) and Wexford (Ireland)

Ed Dunlop has booked Kieren Fallon to partner Red Gulch in the conditions race for 3y´s over 6 furlongs at 20.30 CET at Haydock, and the combination could be a winning one, judged by the style of his earlier Wolverhampton success. Half an hour later, Mark Johnston, with runners all over today, can win the 3yo mile handicap with Secretive (Joe Fanning), though reliable top-weight King of Reason (David Simcock/ Shane Kelly) looks a big threat.

At 21.30 Tuscan Gold looks a typical Sir Mark Prescott handicap debutant; he ran unplaced in all 3 starts last year and is now moved up in distance. At Musselburgh, Jigajig (Kevin and Amy Ryan) can win his third race of the season in the apprentice handicap for 3yo´s over 5 furlongs at 19.40. He was defeated by Lees Anthem (Colin Teague/ Lance Betts) over this CD earlier, but has improved again since. Another improver is Tracy Waggott´s Nufoudh (Freddie Tylicki), who can complete a quick CD hat-trick here at 20.40. Top-weight Camerooney (Brian Ellison/ Barry McHugh) is the danger.

The only N.H. racing today is at Towcester where Cool Touch, who was listed class on the flat, should not be troubled to win the novice hurdle at 19.50 for Nigel Twiston-Davis and Paddy Brennan. Hereweareagain (Philip Hobbs/ Tom O´Brien) should win the maiden chase at 20.20, but on this fast ground Bushwacker (Seamus Mullins/ Jimmy Derham) could be a real threat.

In Ireland, there are 5 flat races and 3 bumpers at Wexford. With the big Guineas meeting at the Curragh starting tomorrow, no fireworks can be expected here, but Aidan O´Brien and Johnny Murtagh can warm up for the weekend by taking the 3yo maiden at 19.15 with Bridge Mountain.
