N.H. racing this evening

Irish trainer Gordon Elliott has an excellent strike rate with his British runners, and we expect this to improve after this evening´ s Hexham meeting, where all three of his runners, all partnered by Tony McCoy, hold winning chances: Symphonica in the maiden hurdle at 20.05 CET, Ballyanigan in the novice chase at 20.35 (Midnight Chase is possibly the better horse here, but would prefer softer going and has to concede 7 lb as well), and King Roonah in the handicap hurdle at 21.05; the last-named looked like winning easily at Perth on Sunday when falling at the last. At Huntingdon, Roodolph (Eve Johnson Houghton/ Jimmy McCarthy) is our best bet of the evening in the novice hurdle at 20.50. Since being switched from the flat, he has shown great aptitude over sticks, finishing 1/2 in all his 3 starts and despite giving weight away all round, should easily cope with this evening´s opposition. There are only 4 runners in the novice chase at 20.20; Noble Request (Philip Hobbs/ Rich ard Johnson) and Songe (Charlie Longsdon/ Tom Scudamore) are both useful hurdlers and one of them should win, probably the former.
