N.H. racing at Southwell and Kelso

Today´s two jumps meetings are very uninspiring, but it is interesting that Tony McCoy travels up to Southwell for just two rides - Irish-trained Martha Elizabeth in the mares maiden hurdle at 16.40 and Jonjo O`Neill´s Purrfect Hero in the bumper at 18.25. At Kelso´s evening meeting, the 3 miles 1 furlong handicap chase at 20.55 looks the most interesting race. 13 runners here with no standouts, but we expect bottom weight Something Silver (Jim Goldie/ Richard McGrath) to go well; he is moving up in distance and in grade, but is in good form. Donald McCain and Jason Maguire are enjoying a real purple patch at present and can have another winner with Al Qeddaaf in the maiden hurdle at 18.50; Devil Water (Jams Ewart/ Harry Haynes) and Saveiro (Alan Swinbank/ Brian Hughes) look on form to be the only dangers.
