Kelso, Kempton and Gowran Park (Ireland)

Kelso´s top event is the Grade Two novice hurdle at 17.10 CET and Washington Irving (Howard Johnson/ Denis O´Regan) looks the one to beat. Fifth in the Derby for Aidan O´Brien in 2007, he made a good start to his hurdling career before getting bogged down in the mud when beaten at odds- on at Newcastle. The winner that day Bygones of Brid (Karen McClintock/ Graham Lee) is in the line -up again, but, assuming tha the ground is not too bad, we hope to see the form reversed. O´Regan can also win the premier chase at 16.35 on James Ewart´ s Sa Suffit, who is easily best in at the weights, and has another good chance with Howard Johnson´ s Silk Drum in the novice chase at 16.00. However Bedlam Boy (Ferdy Murphy/ Lee), who is still a possible for Cheltenham, could prove his master there.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Duke Of Malfi - Primrose Time - Raysrock
2. Race: King O`The Gypsies - Turbo Island - Colour Clash
3. Race: Bedlam Boy - Silk Drum - Tartan Snow
4. Race: Sa Suffit - Cloudy Lane - Will Be Done
5. Race: Predictive - Washington Irving - Bygones Of Brid
6. Race: Always Right - Doc Row - First Look
7. Race: Don`T Rush It - Ormello - Sirkeel

From the German point of view, the most interesting runner of the day is the ex-Baltromei Adelar, who makes his British debut in the novice hurdle at 14.40 at Kempton. He was unlucky not to win a group race last year and was rated 97 on the German GAG, which maks him sily the bst hors in the lörg fild on lat form. If he stands up, he should win and can kick off a good day for trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Aidan Coleman, who can also take the novice chase at 16.55 with Latanier and also have a chance with Noble Future at a much bigger price in the handicap chase at 15.50.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Adelar - Captain Chris - General Eliott
2. Race: Benartic - Secret Stash - Major Harry
3. Race: Caspar Of Tarsus - Noble Future - Laudamus
4. Race: Winterwood - Kristoffersen - Giovanna
5. Race: Latanier - Superior Wisdom - Lord Brunello
6. Race: I Have Dreamed - Suntini - Line Artic
7. Race: Hatta Stream - Pere Blanc - Robin De Creuse

At Gowran Park, the main event is a valuable handicap chase over 2 miles at 16.15. Top-weight Perce Rock (Tommy Stack/ Mark Walsh) appears to have lost form, so our 3 against the field are Dooneys Gate (Willie Mullins/ Paul Townend), Sizing America (Harry de Bromhead/ Andrew Lynch) and especially bottom-weight Dancing Hero (Tom Foley/ Tommy Ryan). There are some huge fields at the Irish fixture, but we hope to see Abbey Glen (Christy Roche/ Alan Crowe) defeat 19 opponents in the handicap hurdle at 15.40. He won his only start last August, and is potentially better than his handicap rating.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Ambitious Fan - Boland`S Corner - Taralga
2. Race: Better Times - Cass Bligh - Black Alpine
3. Race: Abbey Glen - Mon Champion - Jak Dream
4. Race: Dooneys Gate - Fivestar Alstars - Bohemian Lass
5. Race: Got Attitude - Havagoodsip - Otay Kawn
6. Race: Whyso Mayo - Having A Cut - Dusty Doolan
7. Race: Clonard Lad - Kings Army - Glencree Rose
