All-weather racing this evening at Kempton

Easily the best race at this evening´s Kempton meeting is the conditions race for 3yo´s over 9 furlongs at 20.50 CET. Middle Club (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes) had good group race form last season and looks hard to beat on paper, but it may not be that simple. Stan Moore saddles two in-form runners Exceedthewildman (Jamie Spencer) and Kinky Afro (Liam Keniry), who have each won 3 races already this year and have an obvious fitness advantage, while Mark Johnston saddles two well-bred newcomers Velikiy Zevs (Joe Fanning) and Hemera (Greg Fairley) who could be anything.

The two most interesting handicaps are over 5 furlongs at 20.20 and over 1 1/2 miles an hour later. In the latter, Turjuman (Willie Musson/ Steven Donohoe) may be able to repeat his recent CD win, while in the former there is a re-match between Sherjawy (Zoe Davison/ Sam Hitchcott) and Wotashirtfull (James Boyle/ Pat Cosgrave), who were separated by only a nose at Lingfield last time. The latter is now slightly better off and can take his revenge.
