All-weather racing at Wolverhampton and Dundalk

Two all-weather meetings this evening, at Wolverhamptpn and Dundalk (Ireland). With the Mark Johnston stable still clocking up the winners, we expect both their runners at Wolverhampton to win, Gargano in the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 19.50 CET and Parhelion in the maiden half an hour later, both with Joe Fanning aboard. These are possibly decent performers, but the majority of runners here are very poor and the standard of racing is much higher at Dundalk, where several of the top Irish trainers have runners. Dermot Weld can take the 3y fillies maiden at 20.00 with Brushed Aside (Pat Smullen), while Jim Bolger can win the colts´equivalent half an hour later with Luan Cincise (Kevin Manning). The best race is the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 22.00; several of the runners were in action here a fortnight ago at the opening meet of 2010, with Bashkirov, Dark Prospect and German-bred Dancera all winning; one of them should follow up this evening.
