Cagnes sur mer today

The Cagnes sur mer meeting continues today with 7 races, the last 6 on the fibregrass track. There are some huge fields so finding winners will not be easy. From the German point of view the most interesting event is the claiming race over 1300 metres at 15.40. 16 runners, of whom 9 ran in a similar race here a week ago, which was won by Werner Baltromei´s Ceodora (Dominique Boeuf), who now runs for the Perruchot stable.

However that was in our view an overpaced race, for which the headstrong Laokoon (Mario Hofer/ William Mongil) was party responsible. If he can settle better today, we think that he has excellent each-way chance in this company. The other German runner today is Hans Blume´s Marny (Boeuf) who runs in the conditions race over the same trip at 16.40. She twice ran well at Deauville, and although the stable´s runners have not yet shone at this meeting, she also has a good place chance now.
