All-weather racing at Southwell and Kempton

All-weather racing this afternoon at Southwell and a twilight meeting at Kempton, but very little quality on view. At Southwell, we expect the consistent Obe Gold (Paul Howling/ Jean-Pierre Guillambert) to win the 6 furlongs seller at 15.45 CET, while Bookiesindex Girl (John Jenkins/ Robert Winston), a hot favourite when runner-up last time at Kempton, can recover those losses in the 3yo handicap at 16.20.

Jenkins also has a couple of good opportunities at Kempton, with Davids Mark (Simon Whitworth) in the 6 furlongs handicap at 17.55, Clever Omneya (Tom Queally) over 7 furlongs at 18.25 and, if he turns out again, Hollow Jo (Fergus Sweeney), who won yesterday at Lingfield. Best race here is the mile handicap at 20.25, which looks very open; Den´s Gift (Clive Cox/ Luke Morris), has been runner-up 3 times running, including when beaten in a photo this CD last week, and should be thereabouts.
