All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

More modest racing at todays two all-weather meetings. All 7 races at Lingfield this afternoon are class 5 or 6. The mile handicap at 16.00 CET sees a rematch between top-weight Prince of Thebes (Mike Attwater/ Kieren Fox) and Hereford Boy (Dean Ivory/ Adam Kirby). The latter came out the winner when they met recently at Kempton, but Prince of Thebes has won nicely over this CD since then and can score again.

The lightly-raced On Terms(Simon Dow/ Hayley Turner) should run well in the 1 1/2 mile maiden at 16.30, but on overall form Freedom Fire (Gary Moore/ George Baker) can be preferred.

Moore and Baker (who flies off to Dubai after racing to ride Premio Loco at the opening fixture of Maydan´s Dubai Racing Carnival) have an even more interesting runner in a maiden race at Kempton´s twilight meeting. This is Fix the Rib, who makes his flat debut at the ripe old age of 7. He is a smart N.H. performer. having won 5 of his last 7 races and has been racing in top company. As long as he remembers not to jump, he should score here. The best race here is the 5 furlongs handicap at 1840. Rocket Rob (Marco Botti/ Andrea Atzeni) was a narrow winner at Wolverhampton last time, his first start for this trainer, and may be able to follow up, while the same trainer-jockey combination can also take the 3yo handicap at 20.40 with The Glamour Cat. Only 4 runners here, but all with good recent form.
