All weather action today

Lingfield stages the only all-weather meeting today and course specialist Atlantic Story (Mick Easterby/ Jamie Spencer) looks the best bet of the day in the 7 furlongs conditions race at 16.10. He ran an excellent race in a hot handicap here last week, and as long as he does not bounce, should outclass this opposition. The 10 furlongs handicap at 16.40 looks very tricky, but we shall give another chance to Luberon (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning), who flopped here last time. Mafeking (Mark Hoad/ Andrew Elliott) was just beaten over this CD last time, and deserves a win after running-up 5 times in his last 6 races, while top-weight Bridge of Gold (Mikael Magnusson/ Paul Hanagan), who has been off since June, is very lightly raced and potentially better grade than these. Lisahane Bog (Peter Hedger/ Jim Crowley) seems to do no more than necessary, but that has been enough for him to win his last 4 races, and he can complete a fivetimer in the 3yo handicap at 5.40.
