All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

All-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Kempton. With one exception the races are all very low grade, the exception being the listed Sunbury Stakes at 21.20 CET at Kempton. This has attracted a good field with victory possibly going to Ireland via Dohasa (Ger Lyons/ Emmet McNamara), a very consistent performer at this level, and runner-up last time to the smart Duff.

Ceremonial Jade (Marco Botti/ Kieren Fallon) and Dunelight (Clive Cox/ Adam Kirby) look best of the Brits. Kirby also has a chance on Walter Swinburn´s Silken Promise in the 11 furlongs handicap at 20.20. Several jockeys are riding at both meetings, including Kieren Fallon, who will probably find it rather chilly after his weekend in Hong Kong. Best bet at Lingfield is the superby-bred Elation (Mark Johnston(/ Joe Fanning) in the 2yo maiden fillies race at 13.30; she ran very green on her debut and should go on to better things. Johnston and Fanning can also take the colts´ equivalent race half an hour later with Licence to Kill.
