Kempton (a.w.) this evening

Today´s only flat racing in Britain and Ireland takes place at an early evening meeting at Kempton. There are no Godolphin runners this time, which gives the others a chance! The Maktoum-owned stable had another double yesterday, bringing the total of 2009 wins worldwide up to 200, an impressive figure considering that hardly anything went right for the stable in the first 7 months of the year. Best race this evening is the 6 furlongs handicap at 19.00 CET, which looks very open. Fantasy Believer (John Quinn/ Darryll Holland) is in good form, and finished 3rd at Wolverhampton on Monday, but on his earlier CD running has little in hand of Earls Medic (Steve Williams/ Andrea Atzeni), who finished third to him but now has a useful pull in the weights, while Beckermet (Roger Fisher/ Neil Callan) ran well last time and also comes into the reckoning. Satwa Gold (Ed Dunlop/ Kieren Fallon) has been bit of a disppointment, but must surely be good enough to win the 3yo claimer over 1 1/2 miles at 19.30.
