German runners in France today

Two flat meetings in France today, in the afternoon at Fontainebleau and in the early evening at le Croisé Laroche, with German runners at both including in the two listed races at Fontainebleau. The two Witteskindhof fillies Serienhoehe (Peter Schiergen/ Filip Minarik) and Sworn Pro (Mario Hofer/ Andrash Starke) run in the race for 3yo fillies over 1800 metres at14.40 and could both be involved in the finish. Starke rides Sworn Pro as he partnered her to victory in a similar race in Milan last time. Best of the locals should be Andre ´Fabre´s Russiana (Mikael Barzalona). Bella Platina (Uwe Stoltefuss/ Minarik) faces a stiff task in the 1200 metres race at 15.10. Normally she cannot defeat such useful sprinters as Tiza or Salut l´Africain, who are both group class. Sascha Smczrek also has two runners here, of which Fareion is worth a note in the 1200 metres handicap at 13.40 with Dominique Boeuf aboard, although this is a tough race.

At le Croisé Laroche, the best German chances are probably Christian von der Recke´s two runners, Readymade in the 2yo maiden race at 17.00 and Swinging Hawk in the 3yo claimer over 2500 metres at 20.00, both partnered by Williams Saraiva, although in view of Hans Blume´s excellent strike rate in France, Unavita (Romain Perruchot) must be given a chance in the 1800 metres race for 3yp maiden fillies at 18.00.
