There is all-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Wolverhampton and Dundalk (Ireland), but once again, nothing to get too excited about. Best race at Lingfield is the 3yo fillies handicap at 15.50 CET, in which Accede (Johnny Portman/ Tom Queally), who ran in a listed race here last time, has to give weight away to the consistent Poyle Meg (Ralph Beckett/ Jim Crowley) and Critical Path (Andrew Balding/ Chris Catlin), who was hampered last time. Queally also teams up with Barney Curtley´s Sure Fire in the 1 1/2 mile maiden at 16.25.
This one has a super German pedigree but was a bit disappointing last time in a bumper; however he should improve for that but the one to beat is clearly John Gosden´s Kinetix (Jimmy Fortune), placed in all career starts so far. Main feature at Wolverhampton is the class 2 handicap over 8 1/2 furlongs at 21.50, which has attracted quite a strong field. Carcinetto (David and Richard Evans) was 4th in the Lingfield race in which Accede ran, so we might have a guide to his chances here; otherwise Fanulalter (Marco Botti/ Ryan Moore) and Flowing Cape (Reg Hollinshead/ Jamie Spencer) look the two likeliest candidates here. The best flat race today is the listed fillies race over a mile at 21.00 at Dundalk. Dermot Weld saddles two here, with stable jockey Pat Smullen on Silver Shoon, but that one is held by Riobamba (Eddie Lynam/ Fran Berry), but Joanna Morgan can win this with either top-weight San Sicharia (Kevin Manning) - engaged in a Group One last time- or easy CD winner Four penny Lane (Johnny Murtagh).
