Pontefract and Windsor

easily the best race of the day in the U.K. is the listed Silver Tankard for 2yo´s over a mile at Pontefract at 16.40 CET. With the Godolphin stable now firing on all fronts (winners yesterday in France, Italy and Britain!) Frozen Power (Ted Durcan), Black Snowflake (Ahmed Ajtebi) and German-bred Namecheck (Daragh O´Donohoe). Jockey bookings and form suggest that Frpzn Power, who has top weight but is also top-rated, is the one to be on, while the best of the others should be Hot Prospect (Michael Jarvis/ Kieren Fallon) and Party Doctor (Tom Dascombe/ Richard Kingscote). Godolphin can also take the opening 2yo handicap with Landowner (Ajtebi). The danger here is Raleigh Quay (Micky Hammond/ Freddie Tylicki), and the jockey has several more good rides, notably Go Go Green for David Brown in the 5 furlongs handicap at 18.40. There are big fields at Windsor, where
here none of the 8 races has less than 13 runners, but not much quality on offer. Best race here is the 10 furlongs handicap at 17.00, which looks very open. Peter Chapple-Hyam´s Whooshka (Alan Munro), coming off a break, looks dangerous, but we prefer the four top-weighted runners- The Fifth Member (James Boyle/ Pat Cosgrave), Dark Prospect (Michael Jarvis/ George Baker), lightly-raced Ordoney (Luca Cumani/ William Buick) and CD specialist Special Reserve (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes).
