German runners in France today

Obviously there can be comparison with the excellent racing on offer at Longchamp last weekend, but there is still a good card today at Chantilly with 3 listed races. Erika Mäder´s Fancy Diamond (Franck Blondel) tries her luck in the 2000 metres race for 3yo fillies at 14.10, but faces a very stiff task. There could be a British winner in the 3000 metres race at 16.20 - Sir Mark Prescott´s Braveheart Move (Jean-Bernard Eyquem), but surprisingly there are no British runners in the 1100 metres race at 15.50, which might go to John Hammond s Tayseer (Blondel). Another German runner here is Omasheriff (Werner Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) in the opening tiercé handicap over 1200 metres at 13.40, but this distance is possibly a furlong too far. There are also several German-trained runners at the provincial meeting at Lyon and we make Wellinas (Werner Hefter/ Mathieu Sautjean) in the mile conditions race at 16.05 the best German prospect of the day.
