Beverley and Folkestone

Mainly poor racing this afternoon at the two flat meetings in the U.K. A poor card at Folkestone is given some interest by the presence of some top jockeys; Frankie Dettori is there to ride Game Stalker (Saeed bin Suroor) in the 10 furlongs maiden race at 17.20 CET. He was well beaten on his only start, but that was back in May, when the Godolphin stable was totally out of form. Now they are firing on all fronts, a much different performance can be expected, although Tafaool (Marcus Tregoning/ Richard Hills) looks a big danger. Kieren Fallon is also in action at Folkestone; since his comeback 2 weeks ago, he has already ridden 20 winners and can add to that total today. His best chances would appear to be Brendan Powell´s veteran Pic Up Sticks in the 5 furlongs handicap at 15.50 and Luca Cumani´s Maswerte in the 7 furlongs handicap half an hour later. Godolphin also have a runner at Beverley - Namecheck (Ahmed Ajtebi) in the 2yo maiden at 17.00, who also holds a winning chan ce. Best event here is the 5 furlongs conditions race at 16.30. The only 3yo in the line-up Percolator (Paul Cole/ Joe Fanning) in our choice here, although Captain Dunne (Tim Easterby/ David Allan) and Ishetoo (Alan Dickman/ Freddie Tylicki) both look dangerous.
