Rest of U.K. racing today

Chester stages two interesting listed races today, and punters are advised to back the runners with a low number draw, which is a big advantage at this tight track. Thé 7 furlongs race at 15.25 CET should go to Balthazar´s Gift (Clive Cox/ Darryll Holland), but Clive Brittain s Nashmiah (Ahmed Ajtebi) looks dangerous off her light weight. Borderlescott (Robin Bastiman/ Pat Cosgrave), 5th in the Kings Stand at Royal Ascot, is the obvious form choice in the 5 furlongs race at 16.30, but Captain Gerrard (Bryan Smart/ Tom Eaves), Hoh Hoh Hoh (Richard Price/ Steve Donohoe) and Masta Plasta, one of 3 David Nicholls entries with son Adrian in the saddle, are also in with a chance. There is also racing this afternoon at Nottingham (where CD winner Tanforan can follow up in the mile handicap at 18.05), and this evening at Salisbury, with a decent mile handicap for 3yo fillies at 22.00, and Hamilton.
