Heavy rain changes going

Heavy rain in most parts of Britain and Ireland yesterday has changed the going from mainly good to firm to soft in most places and even heavy, so it is quite likely that there will be a lot of non-runners today. The rain was particularly bad in Yorkshire; Ripon has passed an early morning inspection, but tomorrow´s meeting at Redcar is under threat.
