Chepstow, Newmarket, York and Wexford (Ireland) this evening

plenty of racing this evening and pride of place goes to York´ s listed race for fillies over 10 furlongs at 20.30 CET. High Heeled (Barry and Michael Hills) finished third in the Oaks, and a reproduction of that form would be more than enough. Short Affair (Luca Cumani/ Neil Callan) and Ave (Sir Michael Stoute/ Richard Mullen), both last-time-out winners in lesser company, can chase her home. Stoute probably has better chances at his home track Newmarket, and can take both the class 3 handicaps with Pumpkin over 6 furlongs at 20.40 and Kensington Oval over 1 1/2 miles, both partnered by stable jockey Ryan Moore. All the races at Chepstow are class 5 or 6; ex-German Sonnengold (Bernard Llewellyn/ Byron Moorcroft) has not run for 10 months, but won the claiming race over 2 miles at 19.50 last year and can follow up if anywhere near peak form. In Ireland there is a mixed meeting (3 flat races, 3 over hurdles, 2 bumpers) at Wexford with maximum fields of mainly moderate horses in all 8 races. Philip Rothwell has his string in good form and can take the handicap hurdle at 20.05 with Cylindar Rattler (Davy Russell).
