Rest of U.K. and Ireland

The remaining meetings in the U.K. today are also dominated by handicaps, but Sandown has as its main feature the listed Scurry Stakes for 3yo´s over 5 furlongs at 16.25 CET. This is certain to be run at a furious pace, with speedy front-runner Noble Storm (Ed McMahon/ Steve Donohoe) drawn on the rail. He may just last home, but top-weight Triple Aspect (William Haggas/ Liam Jones) and Adorn (Jeremy Noseda/ William Buick) - who is best in at the weights on official ratings- may catch him in the final furlong. Buick is having a great run and may also win the 7 furlongs handicap at 15.50 on Andrew Balding´s Dingaan, who is not very consistent and has run badly both starts this year, but is now on a very favourable mark and shows his best form at this time of year. Balding can also take the 1 1/2 mile handicap for 3yo´s at 16.55 at Bath with Cool Strike (Liam Keniry), who did not get a clear run last time.

Another trainer with runners all over is Clive Cox, who can win the 7 furloongs handicap for 3yo´s at 21.40 this evening at Leicester with consistent Perfect Class (Seb Sanders). There is also evening racing at Lingfield (3 races on turf, 3 on the all-weather) and N.H. racing at Hexham (watch out for Jamés Lambe s runners) and in Ireland at Limerick with the usual huge fields. Best race here is the 4yo hurdle at 19.30 with several useful performers engaged, including Fist of God (Noel Meade/ Paul Carberry) Tarkari (Willie Mullins/ Paul Townnd) and Seenya (DA Kiely/ Keith Clarke)
