German runners at Saint-Cloud

There are 2 German-trained runners in the tierce´handicap over 2400 metres which opens today´s Saint-Cloud card at 13.50 - Samiro (Werner/ Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) and Captain Camelot (Dr. Bolte/ Thierry Jarnet). Both have dcent form is such vents, but as usual this is a very tough race with 16 runners. Baltromei also saddles Farox (Thierry Thulliez) in the 3yo maiden half an hour later. Main feature at Saint-Cloud is the listed Prix Matchem for 3yo colts over 2000 metres at 15.20. This has attracted quite a strong field. Portus Blendium (Carlos Laffon-Parias/ Gerald Mosse´) and Cirrus des Aigles (Corinne Barbe/ Alxi Badel) have never finished out of the first 2 in 15 starts between them, but the most likely winner is Jean-Claude Rouget´s Nizamabad (Christophe Lemaire), who is taken to continue his trainer´s excellent run. There are also dozens of German runners at Wissemburg today, but this is not a PMU meeting.
