With much of Britain now suffering under a heatwave, the going this afternoon at Brighton and Hamilton will be on the firm side, and the quality of racing is very low, with all races either class 5 or 6. Several of the top jockeys are in action at Brighton and the 3 champions Ryan Moore, Jamie Spencer and Seb Sanders could be among the winners with Jeremy Noseda´s Rocky´s Pride at 16.00 CET, Halfway House (Michael Bell) at 17.00 and half an hour later Rough Sketch (Sir Mark Prescott) respectively. Rocky´s Pride looks the best thing of the day but is likely to start at very short odds. At Hamiton, Richard Fahey´s lightly-raced filly Stateside (Paul Hanagan), an easy winner at Ayr last time, can take the 9 furlongs handicap at 16.45, while another last-time-out winner who can score again is Mark Tompkins´ Outland (Salem Golan) in the 1 1/2 miles handicap for 3yo´s at 17.15.
