Bath and Naas this evening

Easily the best flat racing this evening coms from Naas, where the main feature is the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes for fillies and mares at 20.20 CET. Chinese White (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smullen) is top-rated here after finishing 4th in the 2008 Irish Oaks, and she can score at the main expense of British raider Les Fazzani (Kevin Ryan/ Declan McDonogh) and the John Oxx pair Beauty O´Gwuan (Mick Kinane) and Timabiyra (Fran Berry). Aidan O´ Brien´s hope Tamarind (Johnny Muirtagh) needs to improve to figure here, but otherwise the Ballydoyle trainer can enjoy a successful evening. Steinbeck, rumoured be one of his best 2yo´s, runs in the 6 furlongs race at 19.20 and Lillie Langtry at 18.50 and Johann Zoffany at 20.50 are other maidens with winning chances. The card at Bath is less exciting. Terminate, a son of Acatenango, has been runner-up 3 times already this year. including this CD last time, but can get his head in front in the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 19.10. If he does run well, t hat would be a pointer to the chances of Pelham Crescent, his conqueror last time, who runs in the 10 furlongs handicap at 20.40.
