Ayr, Lingfield (a.w.) and Yarmouth

The leading Scottish track of Ayr stages its first flat meeting of the year today, and Sirvino (David Barron/ Phillip Makin), who has won all his 3 starts this season, looks the obvious favourite for the 10 furlongs handicap at 17.20 CET. However he will not find it easy to concede the weight to Fujin Dancer (Richard Fahey/ Jamie Moriarty) or Inspector Clouseau (Tom Tate/ Paul Mulrennan), who are both useful in this grade, while the unbeaten Hillview Bay (Jim Goldie/ Daniel Tudhope) is the big unknown quantity here. At Yarmouth, the good apprentice Louis-Philippe Beuzelin can take both divisions of the mile maiden with Willie Jarvis´ Papyrian at 16.10 and Sir Michael Stoute´s Class is Class half an hour later. Best betting race at Lingfield is the 5 furlongs handicap at 16.30, which will probably be run at a furious pace. Almaty Express (John Weymes/ Robert Winston) is back to form and has won his last 2 races, but is more of a Wolverhamptn specialist, and we prefer Lochsong (Andrew Balding/ William Buick), while Peak District (Kevin Ryan/ Ryan Moore) is another threat.
