5 meetings this evening

Haydock and Musselburgh stage flat racing this evening, while there is N.H. racing at Towcester, where Tony McCoy could be the jockey to follow. He can win the novice hurdle at 21.00 CET on Evan Williams´ Alanna Castle, a bumper winner making his debut over sticks, and also has chances in the 2 following races with Jonjo O´Neill´s Sea Wall and Mark Rimell´s Cove Mountain. At Musselburgh, the 1 3/4 mile handicap at 21.20 has only 7 runners, but still looks quite tricky. Dazzling Light (Jim Goldie/ Danil Tudhope) was 2nd of 16 in a hot handicap at York last time, with Polish-bred Dzesmin (Richard Fahey/ Barry McHugh) only 6th, but the latter is better off at the weights and will be well suited by the extra distance this time.

At Haydock, the 2 top-weights Gilt Edge Girl (Clive Cox/ Philip Robinson) and Servoca (Barry and Michael Hills) look the likeliest candidates in the 5 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 20.10, and the same two teams can dominate the 10 furlongs maiden race at 22.10 with Decision and Devotion to Duty respectively. There are maximum fields in almost all races at the 2 Irish meetings, over jumps at Tramore and on the flat at Down Royal. At the latter track, Jim Bolger and his son-in-law Kevin Manning can land a double with Maidin Moch, top-weight in the 7 furlongs handicap at 19.55 and Siodvil in the 5 furlongs race for 3yo´s an hour later.
