Southwell (a.w.) and Windsor this evening

The evening racing in the U.K. is mainly poor quality, and the best race is probably the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 19.25 CET at Windsor. Red Merlin (Clive Cox/ Philip Robinson) is the choice here on recent form, but Relative Strength (Andrew Balding/ Liam Keniry) could be a big danger, even though he has been off the track since June. However he won first time out in both his previous seasons, and his stable is in good form. Ryan Moore enjoyed a successful weekend, winning top races at Sandown on Saturday and Hong Kong on Sunday, and h can continu th good work here on Richard Hannon´s Orange Pip in th 6 furlongs handicap at 19.55. At Southwell, the whol card is instantly forgettable. The horses with the highest ratings run in the claiming race over 5 furlongs at 19.10; both Fyodor (Conor Dore/ Seb Sanders) and Peak District (Mick Easterby/ Dale Gibson) are useful performers at their best, but there is no guarantee they will show their best form this evening.
