Rest of Epsom

The rest of the Epsom card is also highly interesting, with 4 very competitive handicaps and a well-contested maiden over the extended mile at 17.50 CET, which could involve mainly Bothy (Ralph Beckett/ Seb Sanders) and Lady Francesca (Willie Muir/ Martin Dwyer). The handicaps, all with large fields, look extremely difficult, but we expect course specialist Lake Poet (Clive Brittain/ Seb Sanders) to run well in the "City & Suburban" over 10 furlongs at 17.15, despite finishing behind Ladies Best and Hawaass at Pontefract last time out. Lake Poet runs his best races here and won this in 2007. Our short list for the Great Metropolitan at 16.05, once a long distance race, but now run over 1 1/2 miles, includes Dream Desert (Mick Channon/ Darryll Holland), Aureate (Brian Ellison/ Ryan Moore) and Group Captain (Hugh Collingridge/ Richard Hughes), and for the 5 furlongs sprint at 15.30, in which a high number draw is probably an advantage, Rebel Duke (David Barker/ Paul Hanagan), W otashirtfull (James Boyle/ Martin Dwyer) and Little Pete (Andrew Balding/ Franny Norton).

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Little Pete - Van Bossed - Wotashirtfull
2. Race: Dream Desert - Mezzanisi - Hatton Flight
3. Race: Debussy - Ouster - Mustaqer
4. Race: Hawaass - Ladies Best - Unbreak My Heart
5. Race: Bothy - Mehendi - Lady Francesca
6. Race: Roar Of Applause - Pride Of Kings - The Winged Assasin
