German runners in France today

There is a strong German challenge at Chantilly today, where the main feature is the Group Three Prix Allez France for 4yo and older fillies and mares over 2000 metres at 15.25. The German runners here are Stella di Quattro (Uwe Ostmann/ Olivier Peslier) and Salve Germania (Waldemar Hickst/ Andreas Suborics), while ex-Peter Schiergen Goose Bay (Davy Bonilla) is still German-owned but now trained by Freddie Head. Hickst and Subi also team up with Vaccaria in the 1800 metres claimer at 17.00, where Sumatra Tiger (Werner Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) also runs, and Baltromei and Boeuf are also represnted in both divisions of the mile handicap for 3yo´s at 13.50 with König Benard and 17.30 with Ecargot. These are all quite tough races, and the best chance of a German winner is probably in the 1600 metres race for lady jockeys at 16.35, where no fewer than 5 of the 12 runners are German-trained.
