Prix Edmond Blanc with German runners

Germans milers have a good record in today´s main French feature, the Prix Edmond Blanc (Group Three) at 16.20 at Saint-Cloud, and Christian Sprengel won this last year with König Turf. Now he tries again with his brother König Concorde (Ioritz Mendizabal), who is accompanied by Uwe Ostmann´s Forthemillionkiss (William Mongil) and Peter Hirschberger´s Maradhono (Norman Richter); Mario Hofer´s Echoes Rock is a non-runner. This looks quite an open race, with last year´s runner-up Gris de Gris (Alain de Royer-Dupré/ Gerard Mossé), recent listed CD winner Verba (Richard Gibson/ Stephane Pasquier) and Racinger (Freddie Head/ Davy Bonilla) the best of the locals. There are also several German runners at Strasbourg, but this is not a PMU meeting.
