German runners at Compiegne

Dortmund trainer Norbert Sauer has already been successful at Compiegne this year and returns to the north French track today with two runners, both of whom have good chances of being placed at least. Santero (Jerome Lermyte), last seen when finishing down the track in the German Derby more than 8 months ago, runs in a conditions race for "jeunes jockeys" for 4yo´s over 2400 metres at 14.20. Hopever he faces some tough opposition here, notably Baron Ullmann´s unbeaten Eye of the Tiger (André Fabre/ Mickael Barzalona) and the Wildenstein stable´s Pouvoir Absolu (Elie Lellouche/ Brice Rabillard). French Kiss, who put up some useful performances last year in France, runs in the claiming race for 3yo´s over a mile at 16.20 with Henk Grewe in the saddle.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Blek - Rebel Dancer - Natural Leader
2. Race: Eye Of The Tiger - Broncoli - Pouvoir Absolu
3. Race: Belle Et Brave - Sand River - Celimene
