today´s top races take place on the all-weather at Lingfield, but there is still plenty of action for fans of N.H. racmg. Newbury has a strong card, headed by two valuable races for mares, both the final rounds of series which have running throughout the season. The handicap chase over 2 3/4 miles at 15.50 CET can go to Ping Pong Sivola (Venetia Williams/ Aidan Coleman), whose Cheltenham form - if she has recovered from her hard race there - should suffice. The handicap hurdle at 16.30 can also go to a Cheltenham runner, Nicky Henderson´s top-weight Carole´s Legacy (Felix de Giles), although stable companion Ravello Bay /Barry Geraghty) could be a danger. Henderson and Geraghty should take the novice hurdle at 17.05 with Riverside Theatre, where Germen-bred Super Directa (Lucy Wadham/ Dominic Elsworth) looks the main threat. Despite the valuable races at Newbury, several top jockeys are riding elsewhere and Tony McCoy has some promising rides at Haydock. Philip Hobbs´ Adare P rince at 15.10, Peter Bowen´s Coq Hardi at 16.45, Nicky Henderson´s Zemsky at 17.20 and Peveil in the bumper at 18.30 as well as Jonjo O´Neill´s Forty Five at 15.40 and Firth of Forth at 17.55, are all possuble winners for thr champion jockey. Richard Johnson is at Bangor and can win the main event, a handicap hurdle at 17.30, on Jonjo O´Neill´s CD winner I´m the Decider, although German-bred Freeze the Flame (Charlie Egerton/ Jimmy McCarthy) could prove troublesome. Tom Scudamore can win Stratford´s handoicap chase at 16.25 on Mark Smyly´s Nacimo and Terminate, a son of Acatenango, looks an interesting runner at 17.00 at this track, having his first run over jumps for 450 days. There are also some German-breds running at the Irish meeting at Gowran Park, and with the ground improving, Noble Prize (Dessie Hughes/ Roger Loughran) in the handicap hurdle at 16.00 possibly has the best chance of them.
