Baltromei tries again at Cagnes-sur-mer

after his abortive trip to Marseille on Monday, when racing had to be abandoned following heavy rain, Werner Balromei tries again this afternoon, when he has two runners, both with Dominique Boeuf in the saddle, at Cagnes-sur-mer. They are Titan War in the 4yo claimer over 2000 metres at 15.05 and Alpe d´Huez in a mile handicap half an hour later. Both have aleady run respectably at the meeting and in our opinion both have each-way chances. However there are huge fields - as there are in almost all 9 races on the card - so it will not be straightforward. With the turf track still not fit for use, all races will again be run on the fibresand track.
