Baltromei at Salon-de-Provence

Werner Baltromei has not been as successful as hoped at the winter meeting at Cagnes-sur-mer, despite another winner - his third- on Wednesday, and today he sets his sights somewhat lower by running two horses at the provincial Salon-de-Provence meeting. They are Balladur, who runs over 3300 metres at 14.35, and Paarl over 1800 metres at 16.35. Both will be ridden by Dominique Boeuf; although they ran disappointingly at Cagnes last week, they meet lesser opposition here and should both finish in the money.
