All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

With the weather improving everywhere (except in Germany!), things are now back to normal in Britain and Ireland and the ground is drying out as well. We have a full programme today, with 2 N.H. meetings this afternoon in the U.K. and one in Ireland, as well as all-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Kempton. The most interesting event at Lingfield is the 2 miles handicap at 15.35 CET. Right Option (John Flint/ Tolley Dean) showed easily his best form when winning last time out over this trip at Kempton and can score again. Top-weight Greenwich Meantime (Patrick Donaghy), whose trainer Alan King has an excellent strike rate on the flat, is an obvious danger, while consistent Baan (High Collingridge/ Jimmy Quinn) is likely to run into a place for the sixth time in succession. Several trainers and jockeys are also in action at Kempton´s evening meezting, where the class 2 handicap over 1 mile 3 furlongs at 21.20 is easily the best flat race of the day . Robby Bobby (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning) gave the smart Kandidate a good race at Southwell on Sunday and should go close, but previously he was only a narrow winner from Emerald Wilderness (Alan KIng/Jamie Spencer) at Lingfield. The later did not get the run of the race that day and can be fancied here to reverse the form on 3 lbs better terms. Grand Passion (Chris Wall/ George Baker) was fifth on that occasion, but has been dropped in the weights and if this 9yo can get back to his old form, he would be a danger to all.
