flat racing at Lingfield and Cagnes

there is flat racing on the all-weather at Lingfield today and also at Cagnes-sur-mer, where 6 of the 7 races are run on the fibregrass track. The exception is the opening 2400 metres conditions race at 13.45, which sees the only German runner of the day, Werner Baltromei´s Titan War (Koen Clymans). As the Baltromei horses have not yet hit form, this one is probably best left alone. There are plenty of ex-German horses running, notably course specialist Secret Affair in a 1300 metres handicap at 15.20 and in the mile claimer at 16.50, with no fewer than 6 ex-Germans entered, including last week´s Deauville winner Famous and the brothers Global Dream and Global Hero. Features of the Lingfield card are the class 2 handicaps over 6 furlongs at 15.55 and a mile at 17.00. Both look very tricky, our cautious tips are consistent Little Edward (Ron Hodges/ Marc Geran) in the former event and Titan Triumph (William Knight/ Jim Crowley), who can complete a five-timer in the latter.
