Wolverhampton today

Today´s U.K. racing has strong claims to being rated the worst of the whole year, with two low-key jumps meetings and flat racing on the all-weather at Wolverhampton, where 7 of the 8 races are class 6, 6 of them handicaps. The exception is the class 5 handicap over an extended 2 miles at 16.40 CET, which looks very open. Top-weight Master at Arms (Daniel Loughnane/ Andrea Atzeni) is a frequent visitor from Ireland and his record reads two wins and two second places over this CD, so obviously he makes the short list, but the interesting one could be Dayia (Jeff Pearce/ Jimmy Quinn), who is a maiden on the flat but has smart bumper form. Inchpast (Mark Tompkins/ Paul Mulrennan) is inconsistent, but won this last year and must be considered, while bottom-weight Swords (Ray Peacock/ Tom Eaves) has recently run some poor races but woud come int the reckoning on the form he showed in the summer, when he won 4 races, including this CD twice. Bank on Bunny (Paul d Arcy/ Franny Norto n) has the best recent form, but this looks very tricky, and in fact the whole card is not very punter-friendly.
