today´s N.H. racing

Three jumps meetings today, but easily the best card is at Kempton, where the main feature is a listed hurdle race for mares over 3 miles at 14.40 CET with some interesting runners. Amber Brook (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Paddy Brennan) was a easy winner at Wincanton 18 days ago, but now meets Hora (Nicky Henderson/ Barry Geraghty), who was 10 lengths behind after winning her 3 previous races, on 13 lbs worse terms so that the form may well be reversed, while Emma Lavelle´s Blaeberry (Jack Doyle) is a danger to all. Henderson can also win the novice chase at 14.00 with French Opera, who will be partnered by Marcus Foley. Backers of outsiders should consider Black Hills (Jonathan Geake/ Andrew Thornton) in the 2 1/2 mile handicap chase at 16.15; he won the same race last year off a 3 lbs higher mark.

At Wetherby the German-bred Le Platino (John Wade/ Peter Buchanan), who had decent bumper form, catches the eye making his hurdles debut at 14.20, while Ovthenight (Pam Sly/ warren Marston), placed on bith hurdles starts, can get off the mark in the 3yo maiden at 15.25.

5.Race: Ovthenight - Nino Cochise - Thunderstruck
6.Race: Benny The Piler - Silly Wupple - Checkerboard
7.Race: Pokanoket - Diklers Oscar - Miss Keck

The best race at Chepstow is the 3 mile handicap hurdle at 15.15, in which Tamadot (Philip Hobbs/ Tom O´Brien), who ran well at Cheltenham 10 days ago, can defeat the much improved Charles Street (Evan Williams/ Donal Fahy), who has been raised 31 lbs after winning 3 of his last 4 races. The dark horse here is Picts Hill (Paul Nicholls/ Sam Thomas), who is coming off an 18 months break.
