Huntingdon and Gowran Park

there is also N.H. racing today at Huntingdon and Gowran Park (Ireland) and the most interesting race is the handicap hurdle over the long distance of 3 1/2 miles at 16.30 CET at Huntingdon, the 5th leg of the Scoop 6 bet and a very tricky race to solve, especially as not all the 16 runners are sure to stay the trip. Rebel Melody (Charlie Mann/ Kevin Tobin) won ove this CD a year ago and represents a stable in form, and makes the short list, as does Acosta (Dr. Naylor/ Eamonn Dehdashti), an easy winner at Hereford last time. German-bred Diarius (LKucy Wadham/ Dominic Elsworth) seems rather unreliable, but certainly has the ability, as has course specialist Domenico (John Jenkins/ Wayne Kennedy) and House of Bourbon (Tim Vaughan/ Lee Stephens). The question mark in the race is Millards Lad (Aaron Bateman/ Jamie Moore), who is very leniently handicapped on his chase form. Trainer Howard Johnson has no runner in this event, but can otherwise dominate the dixture, as his runners in the first 5 races, all partnered by Denis O´Regan, could all win: Presenting Forever at 13.05, Woody Waller at 13.40, Cool Operator at 14.15, Andy Anshan at 14.50 and El Vaquero at 15.35. There are huge fields at the Irish meeting at Gowran Park, but not much in terms in quality.
