Windsor and Wolverhampton

most of the top trainers and jockeys this afternoon will be at Windsor, including Frankie Dettori, who should take the mile maiden at 18.00 CET on Godolphin´s Etosha, a good runner-up at Pontefract last week. The obvious danger is Lease of Life (Barry Hills/ William Buick), a promising 4th of 16 on his recent debut at Nottingham. There are also some promising types in the two divisions of the 2yo maiden over 6 furlongs, notably the well-bred All about You (Roger Charlton/ Steve Drowne) in the second division at 16.30, the form of whose second place on his debut has been well boosted since. The first division at 16.00 should lie between Sir Michael Stoute´s Standpoint (Ryan Moore)- beaten at odds-on last time - Chambers (Mark Johnston/ Frankie Dettori) and Bold Tie (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes). The 10 furlongs handicap for 3yo s at 17.30 is very open. St. Jean Cap Ferrat (Geoff Wragg/ Tadge O´Shea) has twice finished second and is due for a win, but Mahadee (Clöive Brttain / Eddie Ahern), normally an all-weather specialist, Arts Guild (Willie Musson/ Kevin Shea), lightly-raced and possibly a blot on the handicap, and Opera Prince (Silvester Kirk/ Richard Hughes), consistent but moving up in distance, could all be dangerous. At Wolverhamptn, the best event is the class 4 7 furlongs handicap at 16.50. Willkandoo (Kevin Ryan( Neil Callan) looks the logical winner here. he has just a 6 lbs penalty for an easy win last week at Dundalk, where the opposition was probably much stronger than it is now.
