today´s U.K. flat racing

there are 3 flat meetings today in the U.K. wih the most interesting races at Nottingham. John Gosden and Frankie Dettori can land a short-priced double with Big Bond, very unlucky on his debut 19 days ago at Haydock, in the 2yo maiden at 14.40 CET and Espresso Star, a very easy CD winner last week and now penalised just 6 lbs in the 10 furlongs handicap at 16.40. Dettori also partners Godolphin´s well-bred newcomer Covert Ambition in the 3yo maiden over 10 furlong at 16.10, where the main opposition could come from Hamdan al Maktoum´s trio Nasaq (Marcus Tregoning/ Richard Hills), Eqbaal (John Dunlop/ Ted Durcan) and Qeyaada (Ed Dunlop/ Steve Drowne). The cards at Brighton this afternoon and Great Leighs (all-weather) this evening are not so exciting, but Gary Moore´s Singleb (Pat Dobbs) can continue is winning run in the 7 furlongs handicap at 17.30 at the former track; he has won 3 of his last 4 races, including only two days ago at Leicester. At Great Leighs, Audemar (Eddi e Vaughan/ Jamie Spencer) looks hard to beat in the 2yo maiden at 20.50 but is likely to start at a very short price.
